Students and faculty have unrestricted access to films and videos in the following databases: Counseling & Therapy in Video and Films on Demand. The Library does not purchase access to films or videos that students have been assigned to watch, unless the videos are already in these databases.
Students are encouraged to locate assigned films through Amazon, Google Play, iTunes, Hulu, or other online streaming services. Amazon gives you a month of free streaming if you sign up for a free trial of Amazon Prime. Many older films can be watched for free on YouTube or the Internet Archive.
Students also have the option of using their public libraries to borrow the DVDs or stream assigned videos. Again, this service is free to residents and students. Lee County Public Library streams thousands of movies through Hoopla, Freegal, and IndieFlix. Hodges University students can receive a free Lee County library card simply by showing their student ID and their photo ID. Learn more about Lee County and Collier County public library services.
